FLOORING IDEAS: Laminated Flooring

A flooring material such as laminates is gaining popularity in homes, offices, and retail businesses. Laminated floors offer unique look with organic touch. It can last for decades if they are properly installed and maintained. They are likely to last longer than vinyl and carpet.

It is not a secret that one of the selling point of laminate flooring is its ease of installation and maintenance. In fact, this is one of the features that are heavily promoted. With today busy lifestyles, it isn't that big of a surprise as why to laminate flooring has been a best seller. It is durable, presentable and unique. However, it also has its own downsides although its positive points overshadow the negatives. SMALL SPACES: BEDROOM

Your bedroom is the most important room in the house, so than your living room, bathroom, kitchen. Regardless of its size, it’s the room where you ought to feel most comfortable. Even if your room is small, more like of a shoe box, you can make most out of it if you only plan. It’s all about organization.

CLUTTER is STRESSFUL! Ask anyone.

The good news is that you don’t need a lot of space to be organized. A floor to ceiling shelf will do, most especially if you have a high ceiling, maximizing its potential for your organizational and space saving plan. Drawers and shallow boxes under the bed are great for storage of linens. A few key comforts can take your bedroom from the realm of purely comfortable to downright homely. While a few well placed art works, some family memorabilia such as photo and a good lamp next to a reading chair completes the relaxing bedroom.

Project Proposal: Mansala Rockwell

Spaces

Living Room and Family Room- What's the difference? One gets used and the other doesn't.

Family Room- A family room is a typically defined as informal multi-purpose room where family gather to talk, study, play or watch TV. The key to small family room is to use only as much as space as you really need. For instance, some people keep their computer here, usually accompanied by a small desk and additional equipment, such as TV. In my Project: Avida, a carved alcove in one wall, where I will place the TV to keep the room's function.

Living Room-Often the first guest's used to see first. Limiting the number of pieces of furniture in Project: Avida keep it's function and simplicity, keeping it as open as possible and kept the circulation in this area.

Project: Avida Settings:Shower Area

When there's enough room, it's a good idea to design your bathroom with shower and bath areas. A tub is not a necessity, but can fit in the same area, a separate walk-in shower is generally larger and easier to enter and exit, making it safer, functional and a beauty. Spaces made to keep clean equipped with bench (for steam sauna purposes), multiple shower heads and telephone shower for versatility. It would be a shame to hide the gorgeous stone and tile accent in this walk in shower, making frameless glass shower enclosure a good choice.

This master bath features a spa-like for relaxing and will also be equipped with steam generator, a good antidote for body aches and stressful daily life of the owner.

Project: Legaspi Tower 100

Went to a meeting regarding our next project which will commence on the 15th of May, just a right timing, that is the same target date of turn over of Project: Avida, in Nuvali, Laguna. Which I am going to share the step by step finishing details on my next blog.
The meeting went well and I can say was a blast, why? while on our way from Project: Millenium in Pasig going to my next meeting, my previous client emailed me the floor plan of their unit in Mansala Rockwell, as well as my client for an office renovation which we are preparing for three days now sent me a confirmation for tomorrow's meeting, at the same time, my client requested for a meeting in their unit in Westgate Plaza in Salcedo Village.

What a job. I really love my job.

I had the chance of visiting the booth of Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc. during the Worldbex 2011, they also launched the latest additions to its wall and floor tile ranges featuring the latest trends and available in a range of colors, finishes and designs.

Besides being stylish and chic, Mariwasa ceramic tiles are environmentally friendly. Mariwasa is the only tile company in the Philippines using recycled materials and sustainable practices.

I myself as designer and contractor, I make to a point using Filipino products, they're not as cheap and unreliable like of the brand-less tiles that you can buy from bargain outlet.
