GLASS TILES

Glass tile is by far the hottest tiling material on the market nowadays. It's being requested by most of my client. It's so popular because it can be used everywhere, in my case I used it as tile accents on bath area and back splash on my kitchen. You can use it anywhere that you would use ceramic tiles. It also has a more affordable twin--recycled glass tile. Glass maintains its luster and high quality when re-formed, and many varieties of glass tile look just like new tile. And you don't have to worry about glass tile being more prone to break or shatter. I strongly suggest that you choose the right adhesive. It is a common problem when glass tile is not installed correctly or when the wrong adhesive is chosen that moisture gets trapped under the glass tiles. This can cause severe mildew and mold growth over time. They suggest that you use a sand-based thinset adhesive (ABC Tile Bonding Adhesive) to help keep this problem from occurring.

If you are doing the installation yourself, bring exact measurements and a detailed drawing or a set of blueprints to the showroom, so that a salesperson can help you specify the order. If you are using a professional to install your design, let him or her handle the order to avoid any finger-pointing should a shortage of glass tiles or missing trim pieces occur, resulting in a delay.

Simple glass tile installations can often be handled by do-it-yourselfers, but others require the experience and skill of a professional. After spending good money for a quality product, you may not want to take a risk by spoiling it with poor craftsmanship.

Living Room and Family Room- What's the difference? One gets used and the other doesn't.

Family Room- A family room is a typically defined as informal multi-purpose room where family gather to talk, study, play or watch TV. The key to small family room is to use only as much as space as you really need. For instance, some people keep their computer here, usually accompanied by a small desk and additional equipment, such as TV. In my Project: Avida, a carved alcove in one wall, where I will place the TV to keep the room's function.

Living Room-Often the first guest's used to see first. Limiting the number of pieces of furniture in Project: Avida keep it's function and simplicity, keeping it as open as possible and kept the circulation in this area.
